Your Invincible, But You Can't Do It?

It's always funny (or sad) to hear Christians say that they can't do something. Aren't they suppose to be the Spirit filled child of GOD, who can do all things through HIM? Why do Christians moan and groan when they don't think they can do something? I mean, GOD created everything, gave life to everything, and can do anything HE wants to for you or Himself. HE's invincible and unstoppable, but still Christians doubt HIM. The Bible says:
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13

GOD is all-powerful, and through HIM you can do all things. Why doubt GOD by doubting yourself? GOD even showed us how powerful HE is by raising JESUS from the dead. We can do anything and everything through HIM. We don't have to worry about those 'impossible' challenges in our lives, because if we truly love and believe in GOD, HE will provide.

A step in making your relationship with GOD stronger is to wipe out everything in your mind that says you can't do something. You need to concentrate on GOD's never-ending abilities and trust that HE will provide for you. Trust that you can do all things through HIM.

GOD bless you all.
Peace be with you during this Easter season.

Reckless Words...

Many people make others feel bad without even knowing (some do know, I guess). People most of the time don't mean to hurt other people's feelings, but they do with whatever rude comment they say. Then the person (who was insulted) feels really bad. It is typical for them to get angry and take it out on someone else. Then they hurt that person's feeling and it keeps on going in a pattern that was started by the original person, who started the insults. That is a sin that causes many more to sin... and that's bad. The Bible says:

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Proverbs 12:18

It is true that insults leave an effect on people that kind of feel like a sword, in your soul. People have to start watching what they say. When people get used to speaking recklessly, they become foolish and cause many people to sin. The slightest word could make someone have anger and hatred that was never there before. For example; Once, when I was playing basketball with some friends, one of them (my friend) tried to catch a pass from his teammate. He missed it, and the person who passed it to him said that if he was going to get a pass, he should catch it. I know it wasn't much of an insult, but it basically ruined the person who tried to catch its whole day. I don't even think the guy who insulted him was trying to be mean. But he was foolish.

The verse above says that the tongue of the wise brings healing. The healing is compliments to the person who was insulted. Now pay attention to this.Wouldn't you agree that the wise speak the word of the LORD? The Bible later says that:

...The word of the LORD is sharper than any double-edged sword...
Hebrews 4:12

The word of the LORD (compliments) is stronger than any reckless, double-edged sword. Don't you see? When you say aggressive and mean things to people, you cut them deep down. But when you compliment people and bless them with the word of GOD, you heal them and give them strength to live on. How can you even begin to be nice to the people you love if you are mean to others? Your love would be incomplete. But GOD is nice and loves everyone (even those who hate HIM), completely. If you want to be a follower of GOD, then you must watch what you say and be kind to all people.
I know, this post is extremely long , but it is also extremely powerful. If you are just skipping through my blog and decided not to read this because of the length, I encourage you to change your mind. Please read this post!
GOD bless you all.

It's Good to Be A Christian!

A lot of times, Christians don't realize how good they have it! I have made a list of 5 reasons why it is good to be a Christian!

1. GOD always provides. We never have to worry about how things will work out. We know that GOD always has a plan for our lives. Even if we have no money or job or anything, GOD always gives us what we need if we seek HIM first! We have everything we want or need!

2. We have GOD's protection. What can a person do to us if we have GOD? What? Kill us? That won't work. We'll just go to heaven with JESUS and they will still be here on this earth. And GOD will keep us safe anyway... if we don't want to die then. We're basicly invincible! That's why no one has been able to succesfully crush Christianity. We are eternal!

3. We never have to be lonely, because we know there is a GOD who loves us more than anything. A GOD who gave HIS own SON for us. Even if we are in the valley of the shadow of death, GOD comforts us and gives us no fear! HE has perfect love for us. And that is why HE never leaves us or forsakes us.

4. We always have hope. We know that everything that happens to us is from GOD, who has a great plan in our lives. Even if we are losing today, GOD garenties we will be winning tomorrow! GOD gives us success. And we can always keep on going when we know that someday, we will be with our Creator and Savior in heaven.

5. We have wisdom. Since we fear and believe in GOD, HE blesses us with wisdom and understanding without us even knowing it. That is why most (wise) people rather listen to what a Christian philospoher has to say, then some partying celebrity. We have good values and we seem to know what we are talking about through our lives. The fear of the LORD is the begining of wisdom!

I quoted a lot of Bible verses in the paragraphs above. I thought it would be to confusing if I told you where I put them. Anyway, there is so many more differnt reasons why it is good to be a Christian. GOD is a total blessing to us.

GOD bless you all.
Peace.

The Ten Commandments

Which of the Ten Commandments do you think is the most broken in the world today?
Which ones do you break the most?
Below I will post the Ten Commandments. The Roman Catholic version will be to the right, the other version will be to the left. Think about the questions above when you read them.
1. Do not have any other gods besides ME. / Do not have any other gods besides ME.
2. Do not make false idols. / Do not take the LORD's name in vein.
3. Do not take the LORD's name in vein. / Keep holy the Sabbath day.
4. Keep holy the Sabbath day. / Honor you father and your mother.
5. Honor your father and mother. / Do not kill.
6. Do not kill. / Do not commit adultrey
7. Do not commit adultrey. / Do not steal.
8. Do not steal. / Do not lie.
9. Do not lie. / Do not covet (be jealous of) your neighbors wife.
10. Do not covet your neighbors wife, house, or possesions. / Do not covet their house.
"Sorry. I know the "two sets" of commandments make it kind of messed up."
I ask you again, what ones do you break the most? I'm not sure about me. All I know is that we sin a lot. We all do. GOD should be hating us for all we do agaisnt HIM. I mean, have you ever told a lie? Have you ever used the LORD's name in vein? Have you ever stolen something? Has anyone ever done any of that to you? Think of how mad you would get at that person. Every time we break one of those commandments, it is like we did it to GOD. And we break them all the time. Yet, GOD still loves us no matter what. He never leaves us or forsakes us.
We have to stop taking HIS love and grace for granted. We have to at least to try to stop sinning. I know that we can't stop, but the effort will give us a stronger relationship with GOD. It's called perfect love.
GOD bless you all.
Peace.

Why Underestamate GOD, Your Creator and Savior

I shake my head as I hear so many Christians doubt GOD's power. They are always saying that their problems are impossible to solve. They're always saying that the flood in Noah's time was impossible. They're always talking about how GOD couldn't possibly knock down the walls of Jericho and that that story was written just to be an example to us Christians. They always say that GOD can't do that, and it's unlikely HE really did this, and how GOD couldn't have scientifically done that. Everything has to be proven by science! That's why Christians aren't Atheists. Things that can't be proven by Science are all miracles from GOD! I'm surprised Christians haven't started believing JESUS rising from the dead is impossible. remember the Bibles says:

...With God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:26
GOD created you and everything else. Why would you doubt any of HIS power or authority. Everything is possible with GOD. Even Christians are starting to forget that. Seek GOD when you are facing something impossible, and by faith, you will succeed. When you have to climb the tallest mountain, or jump the tallest building, or even when you have to fight a Goliath of our time, ask GOD to help, and you will succeed. GOD will do the impossible.
GOD bless you all.
Peace.

Revenge

Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay (Deuteronomy 32:35)," says the Lord.
Romans 12:19
I thought that most people knew that you weren't suppose to take revenge, and that it is GOD's job to avenge. Well, I guess I was wrong. At school I'm always hearing really angry people talking about how unfair it is that whenever someone does something bad to them they don't get in trouble, but when they try to do it back they always get in trouble and have to go see the principal or something. Of course, I feel bad that they have to go through all of their punishments, but I feel even worse to know that they would take revenge in the first place. It's GOD's job to avenge and punish people who did something bad to you, but if you seek revenge on account of that person, you are the one who GOD will be punishing. That person might have done it first, but you were the one it gave in to it. If you took revenge, don't be angry at that person for doing it first. Be angry at yourself for trying to do GOD's job. It's your fault if you take revenge. I can't think of anything that more clearly states it than verse above. The Bible has all the answers, you just have to take the time to look.
GOD bless you all.
Peace be with you all.
Keep fighting the good fight.
I'll see you in heaven.

Bible Test

I've made a three question Bible test. This is more of a "Wow! I didn't know that!" type of thing. It isn't really so much a test to see if you "know" the Bible 100%. It is basically fun facts. As you might remember from my old blog (http://theflippingsweetblog.blogspot.com) I had something similar to this. However, the answers in this test are a lot more broad. The answers will be at the bottom.

QUESTIONS:

1. What are the names of the two that JESUS call the "sons of thunder?"

2. What is the name of the two people who Peter handed over to Satan?

3. Who (in the Old Testament) are the two people who never died?

Did you guess yet? Is it your final answer? Go down to take a look.

Answers:

1. James and John. (Mark 3:17)

2. Hymenaeus and Alexander. (1st Timothy 1:20)

3. Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:12)

Did you get any right? Let me know if you did. I will close with this verse, letting you know it is good to read the Bible to strengthen your relationship with GOD:

The law of his God is in his heart; his feet do not slip.

Psalm 37:31

GOD bless you all! Peace.

Mark 4:35

Mark 4:35

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"

Don't fear. HE's in the boat with you.
GOD bless you all.
Peace.

Time Is Ticking Away...

Do you know where you are headed when you die? You might think you have plenty of time to make your choice of living for JESUS or not, but if you really think about it, do you know exactly when your time is up? You might be in a perfectly safe condition, away from danger or medical problems, but you really could die any time. You could die today in a car crash or you could die while your house burns down... the possibilities are endless. And as soon as we die are fate is sealed. We have no control over life and death on this earth. Only GOD does. And the reason why Christians aren't worried about death is because they have already accepted JESUS as their savior. They have accepted life. So I dare you to chose now. Life or death?
GOD bless you all.
Peace.

An Awesome GOD

In the begining, GOD created the heavens and the earth. That includes this. This is just a small sampling of everything GOD has made for us. We should be very thankful. GOD thought of all of this. It is HIS creation. None of this was around before HIM. None of it could be. HE designed the whole world. HE made up what a mountain looks like. Same with glaciers, coral reefs, lakes, sunsets... everything. Many people treat the world with respect because they know it is one of HIS awesome creations. But HIS best creation is us: The people. HE made all of this because HE loves us. HE treasures us. So be kind to tour neighbor, and treat them better than yourself. And remember that GOD loves you enough to give you all of this.

I wonder what Heaven will be like...

GOD bless you all. Peace.

Psalm 23

More Christians should read the Bible. It strengthens your relatshionship with GOD. The Bible does say:

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
~2 Timothy 2:15

Of course it says many other things about reading the Bible (maybe more specific) but I'll just post that one for now.

Now, I'll post a very well known chapter in the Bible from Psalms.

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

GOD bless you all!
Peace.

The Music

Do any of you ever listen to Christian music? To me it sometimes seems like I am the only one in the world who does. I believe that Christian music inspires you to strengthen your relatioship with GOD, so you are an even stronger Christian then you were before. Knowing this I have put together a list of some Christian CDs that you might like to buy or perhaps first rent from the library.
Artist/band CD Title Store or Library

You might want to do some research on all of these bands and artists to find more of their CDs that might be appealing to you. Look for more people too. You might even want to tune into your local Christian music station. Christian music is great and just like normal 'other' music. A lot of times people just stay away from it because they think it is a whole bunch of angels stumming on harps. But the music comes in all varietys: pop, rock, hip-hop, gospel, country, and even metal. Just keep searching for more. There are tons of posibilities.

If you want my opinions on the CDs or bands, please comment. Also, if you want to know what type of music a certain CD is, please comment. If you have any questions or corrections or anything else, please comment.

Please Consider this music. GOD bless you all. Peace.

A Brother In Need

Shawn Manley pictured above

I recently have found a blog that is hosted by a Christian who is going to Hollywood to work on a 'real world' film/TV production staff. He will be doing this for the glory of GOD and I guess you could call him a missionary in Hollywood.

He's name is Shawn Manley and he has asked our help to give him our prayers or donations. He needs the money because the cost to attend this is $1500 per month! This will be for food, housing, utilities and travel expenses. Remember that any donations (he suggests as low as 1 dollar) will be helpful for him to reach out to people who don't truly know JESUS as their savior. Please act on this cause with your prayers and, if possible, your money. During this Easter season, making donations to things like this is exactly what we should be doing. Even your prayers will help!

I probably haven't given you enough information, like what address to mail your donations to. If you want the whole story (and the address) please go to:

I understand you might be pressed because you are low on money, but remember that prayers are as much appreciated as money. Thank you. Please don't hesitate to help our brother in need.

God bless you all.

Peace.
