DC Talk | What If I Stumble

DC Talk
What If I Stumble
"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world todayIs Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lipsThen walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable."
Is this one for the people? Is this one for the Lord?Or do I simply serenade for things I must afford? You can jumble them together, my conflict still remainsHoliness is calling, in the midst of courting fameCause I see the trust in their eyesThough the sky is fallingThey need Your love in their livesCompromise is calling
What if I stumble, what if I fall? What if I lose my step and I make fools of us all? Will the love continue when my walk becomes a crawl? What if I stumble, and what if I fall?
What if I stumble, what if I fall? You never turn in the heat of it allWhat if I stumble, what if I fall?
Father please forgive me for I can not composeThe fear that lives within meOr the rate at which it growsIf struggle has a purpose on the narrow road you've carvedWhy do I dread my trespasses will leave a deadly scarDo they see the fear in my eyes? Are they so revealing? This time I cannot disguise all the doubt I'm feeling
What if I stumble, what if I fall? What if I lose my step and I make fools of us all? Will the love continue when my walk becomes a crawl? What if I stumble, and what if I fall?
What if I stumble?Everyone's got to crawl when you know thatYou're up against a wall, it's about to fallEveryone's got to crawl when you know that
I hear You whispering my name [You say]"My love for You will never change" [never change]
You are my comfort, and my God
Is this one for the people, is this one for the Lord?

DC Talk | So Help Me God Lyrics

DC Talk
So Help Me God
[I got something for you, man][Go for a ride]
Bombarded by philosophies that satisfy the surfaceI flee to something deeperAt the risk of seeking purposeHow can I hang in this environmental state of beingWhen everything I'm striving forIs nothing that I'm seeing
(chorus 1)Won't You take my heart, won't You take my soulWon't You come and make me whole againYou, You've got what I need and You never retreatUnto You I will concede
(chorus 2)So help me GodTo put my faith in YouSo help me GodBefore I come ungluedCall it my addictionI can't get enough of YouSo help me GodTo put my faith in You
Infected by the skin I'm in this starving with desireAnd Jesus ain't the latest thing to come across the wireI throw myself at mercy for I am the chief of sinnersBut daily taking up my crossHas brought it's share of splinters
You're there when I callAnd You're there when I fallEven though I don't deserve it allYou, You light my wayThrough the night and the dayAnd from You I will not stray
(repeat chorus 2)
(repeat choruses 1 and 2)
God so help meThis is my soul pleaI'm desperately devotedI can't get enough of YouSo help me God
Cause You are the one I loveCause You are the one I need[I need you]Cause You are the one I'm seeking[Every single day]Cause You are the one for me
[I just walked into a meet in 3...And everybody's starin' at me...I gotta go]

DC Talk | Jesus Freak Lyrics

DC Talk
Jesus Freak
[What will people think When they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak? What will people do When they find that's it's true?]
Separated, I cut myself clean From a past that comes back in my darkest of dreams Been apprehended by a spiritual force And a grace that replaced all the me I've divorced
I saw a man with tat on his big fat belly It wiggled around like marmalade jelly It took me a while to catch what it said Cause I had to match the rhythm Of his belly with my head' Jesus Saves' is what it raved in a typical tattoo green He stood on a box in the middle of the city And claimed he had a dream
(chorus)What will people think When they hear that I'm a Jesus freak What will people do when they find that it's true I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak There ain't no disguising the truth
Kamikaze, my death is gain I've been marked by my Maker A peculiar display The high and lofty, they see me as weak Cause I won't live and die for the power they seek
There was a man from the desert with naps in his head The sand that he walked was also his bed The words that he spoke made the people assume There wasn't too much left in the upper room With skins on his back and hair on his face They thought he was strange by the locusts he ate The Pharisees tripped when they heard him speak Until the king took the head of this Jesus freak
(repeat chorus 2x)
People say I'm strange, does it make me a stranger That my best friend was born in a manger People say I'm strange, does it make me a stranger That my best friend was born in a manger
(repeat chorus 2x)
What will people think[What will people think]What will people do[What will people do]I don't really care[What else can I say]There ain't no disguising the truth[Jesus is the way]

Let's Get This Straight...

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:16

I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Galatians 2:21
For some, this message is just a reminder, but for others this is new. Let's get this straight...
You do not get to Heaven by doing works for GOD. You get to Heaven by believing and receiving (the message) that that JESUS CHRIST died on the cross for your sins and then once you believe it, you accept JESUS into your life. That is how you get to Heaven.
Once, someone told me to clean up a mess that someone else made. I told that person that I didn't do it. Then she told me to just do it anyway, because it would be "honor points" in Heaven. I was shocked! That is totally false. Let me repeat: Your works and good deeds for GOD will not get you into Heaven!!!
Why? Let me explain. GOD is perfect; without sin. We, human beings, are not perfect; we are full of sin. GOD cannot be your presence if you have sinned: Heaven is spotless of sin. That's why we need to ask JESUS into our hearts and to forgive us. Once we do this, HIS spilled blood washes away our sins... and the next time GOD looks at us, HE no longer sees our imperfect sin, but a perfect image of JESUS (in us).
Don't think you've sinned before? You are just lying to yourself... Yes, lying is a sin. The 8th commandment (for Catholics it is the 7th). If you don't think you are lying, think back: Have you ever stolen, used GOD's name in vain, have you ever cursed, have you ever disrespected your parents, or... the list keeps going on and on. If I was talking like an atheist, I would be basically asking: Have you ever done anything wrong... at all?
Still think you're clean? Here's my back up. The Bible says:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
How about this one:
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
So the Bible makes it clear, works do not get you into heaven (check out the Bible verses at the start of this post if you haven't already...). If you want to get to Heaven, remember, the only way is through JESUS CHRIST! Pray to HIM, and ask HIM to forgive you of your sin... ask HIM to come into your life. Then you will have a relationship with GOD and you will be ignited, with the HOLY SPIRIT. You will also have your ticket on the J-Train!... Uh... to Heaven... (Sorry Toby and Kirk, had to use that one).
Does this all mean that once you have accepted JESUS you can do whatever you want (and) keep sinning? Does it mean that you shouldn't do good works for GOD? No! Your relationship with GOD is connect by love... and if you love GOD, you will keep HIS commands! (That verse was John 14:15... it has roots with:

http://theflippingsweetblogtwo.blogspot.com/2007/02/keep-commands.html). If you love GOD, by all means you should try to do GOD's will and not go back to the slavery of sin. Yes, sin holds you captive... and JESUS sets you free from your sin... maybe what I am saying will make more sense in a verse. Then it will be time to rap this post up...:

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Galatians 4:9

Just remember that JESUS is the only way to be in Heaven with GOD forever. You can't try to out-do your bad with good. GOD will still see the bad, and it will ruin the good like a black spot on a white carpet. JESUS can wash away that "spot" with HIS blood. JESUS is the only way!

GOD bless you all. Peace be with you. May your cup overflow and your faith be limitless.

Your servant, RC Hammer
