Exposing Harry Potter

Hahaha...! This is funny. Yesterday, when everyone was buying the new Harry Potter book (Deathly Hollows), I went out to the good old Family Christian Store (www.familychristian.com), and bought a copy of (the book) shown above. Exposing Harry Potter and Witchcraft goes between the pages of Harry Potter to discover the true message the series is spreading. If you are interested in what is wrong with Harry Potter, you should go to a Christian store by you and buy one there, or purchase it online at http://www.familychristian.com/shop/product.asp?prodID=22320.

GOD bless you all. Peace be with you. Keep your faith limitless.
Your servant, RC Hammer

A lot of Christians owe J.K. Rowling the biggest apology that they can possibly muster, after what she's done with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

This series is now and forever established as some of the finest Christian allegorical literature ever.

RC, I understand where you are coming from. Believe me! I realize that your heart is good in wanting to stand up for Jesus, even when it means standing against culture. I honor you for that, even though I don't always agree with the way you go about it. You mentioned once that you are very young, though I don't know your age, and when I was very young I said and did many of the same things. Once, I even watched a movie made by Christians that talked about witchcraft in Harry Potter.

It wasn't until years later that I read the books and realized that they are not about witchcraft. That is my opinion, to be sure, but I believe it to be well-informed and thought through. I don't mind that Christians disagree on this, but some very mistaken ideas have crept into Christianity on what witchcraft is (not that I'm defending witchcraft--it's spiritism and I believe it to be wrong.)

Anyways, because you left a comment on my blog I thought I'd see what you had to say here. You haven't offended me; I just disagree based on my understanding of Jesus, the Bible, witchcraft, and Harry Potter.

Blessings,

Jenna

Yar, the whole Harry Potter is based on magic and witches. I too am not sure what witchcraft actually is but since it obviously is fiction then we probably shouldn't count it as a sin. I think witchcraft is like what Pepino Suave said they had in Mexico, they have rituals and pray to false gods of sorts, so then they're breaking the first commandment. So in conclusion the Harry Potter series could be on witchcraft in the way I described it but I'm not totally positive.
